With the recent deployement of our local National Guard unit, many of you may know young people whose parent has been deployed for an extended period of time. IYI Professional Development Grants help youth workers attend non-IYI conferences, trainings, or workshops that focus on nonprofit management or healthy youth development. IYI Staff Training Grants provide up to $1,500 for your organization to bring a trainer or speaker to your location to benefit your entire staff. Family Friendly Workplace Policies
The Indiana Youth Institute, in collaboration with the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, has awarded the "Family Friendly Workplace Award" to five Indiana employers for their workplace policies that help employees spend more time with their children and care for their families. This year's winners are: Baker & Daniels (Indianapolis), LaPorte Regional Health System (LaPorte), Bowen Engineering Corporation (Fishers), Network Solutions (Granger) and VMS (Indianapolis).
